As Sam Allardyce is landed at the centre of an FA probe… it’s not the first time he’s been accused of dodgy dealing

A newspaper sting has launched the new England manager into the spotlight

A SHOCKING newspaper sting has landed new England coach Sam Allardyce at the centre of an FA probe.

The former Sunderland boss is believed to have met with a bogus consortium who claimed they were혻interested in bringing overseas players to England.

The Telegraph claim Allardyce used his position as England manager to negotiate a 짙400,000 deal and offered advice to businessmen on how to ?쐅et around??FA rules on player transfers.

The group of businessmen, posing as potential investors, laid on a series of lavish dinners and hotel receptions for혻혻 high-profile football people, including Allardyce, 61.

He was also caught on camera혻mocking혻predecessor Roy Hodgson, calling him ?쏻oy??and saying that he ?쐆asn?셳 got the personality??for public speaking.

But it's not the first time Allardyce has been혻accused of getting involved with dodgy deals.

In 2006, he was named in a BBC Panorama documentary, which found that three Bolton signings involved payments from agents to Allardyce's son Craig. It was claimed that the father and son had accepted bribes for signing certain players - allegations which they fiercely denied.

What Big Sam Said

On Roy Hodgson: ?쏦e?셝 send them all to sleep, Roy. Woy. He hasn?셳 got the personality for it.??/p>

On selecting his England squad: "Jack Wilshere, on the bench for Arsenal. Oxlade-Chamberlain on the bench... When they?셱e not playing for the club, they?셱e just short of match practice.??/p>

On Wembley Stadium: "They completely floored it and then rebuilt the new stadium which is fabulous, but that sort of debt is not really what you want. "

On the FA: "They?셱e all about making money aren?셳 they?"

On Prince William: ?쏷he only one that never turned up was Prince William. He?셲 our ambassador for the Football Association, so it would have been nice if he?셝 have turned up but he obviously had more, much busier things on.??/p>

On Prince Harry: ?쏦arry?셲 a naughty boy. He?셲 a very naughty boy, very naughty. He shows his bottom and all sorts.??/p>

Seven years later, in 2013, Big Sam once again found himself at the centre of controversy혻after he was named as an investor in a 짙450 million tax scam - before being caught up in a 짙275 milion tax fraud involving a fake film company.

Again, he denied any wrongdoing - this time due to the fact혻he was an investor in the scheme, rather than the brains behind it.

But혻earlier혻this year, a Sun investigation forced Allardyce to quit his role as a brand ambassador for football betting firm My Club Betting - after it was revealed its boss has previously lost investors over 짙4 million in a near-identical scheme.

Following the latest allegations,혻new혻FA chairman Greg Clarke and chief executive Martin Glenn were in talks last night to discuss the claims against Big Sam as the extent of the video became clear.

Allardyce must get FA permission to lend his name or to be involved or associated with any business practices as part of his England contract.
